We are on the rise and expansion of our infrastructure and services team in Bruges looking for an enthusiastic colleague (m / f) for the function of:

Senior Network Security Engineer

​

FUNCTION

​

• You and your colleagues are responsible for day-to-day continuity and performance of the ICT infrastructure, especially for the network environment (firewalls, switches and telecom).

• You are able to work out customer-oriented solutions that meet the challenges of to unite a rapidly changing environment with ICT best practices (standards).

• You are hereby responsible for a varied and challenging job package .:

• Develop and implement the network design. You make the network diagrams, operational procedures and LAN / WAN topologies.

• You configure, install and document the switches (CISCO and HP), firewalls (Checkpoint), ...

• Vulnerabilities in our network search and corresponding patches and upgrades to carry out.

• Develop and implement network policies, access and monitoring.

• Provide third-line support for network & telephony.

• You are also responsible for the design and rollout of new networks inside.

• We deploy you as a network specialist on various projects and you take a leading and coordinating role for the network team.

• There is daily consultation and knowledge sharing with your colleagues from MBSA (Microsoft Based System Administration), DBA (Data Base Administration), NWT (Network and Telephony) and Middleware.

• Following up incidents and preventively ensuring the safety of the network. You will analyze possible security risks and solve the problems with your technical knowledge.

• You are prepared to keep up with the latest technologies and become there involved in a range of assignments / projects. As a specialist consultant improve your knowledge and grow within your job.

PROFILE

​

• Bachelor's or equivalent through experience

• You have at least 8 years of experience as a network engineer.

• Extensive knowledge:

• Layer 2 & Layer 3 networking, ipv4 / ipv6, DNS, DHCP, and IP address management and management, ...

• CCNA Certification

• Configuration of CISCO & HP Switches

• Next Generation Firewalls

• Wifi solutions

• SSL VPN

• Data center switching & routing

Knowledge:

​

• Other Cisco / Network Certifications

• Virtualization techniques

• Microsoft Windows Server, Linux / Unix

 

Checkpoint

​

• Experience in Unified Communication solutions

• Monitoring tools such as PRTG and Dynatrace

• You are flexible and are highly motivated to expand your knowledge.

• You have strong organizational skills and are able to motivate others in the team.

• Besides good analytical skills, you are stress resistant and can deal with deadlines.

• You are social, smiley and energetic.

• You prefer to live in the wide region of Bruges (radius 50 km).

• You must be fluent in Dutch and English, and basic technical French.

• You have a driving license B
