Genesis Banking & Finance are currently looking for a dynamic finance professional to join one of the most prestigious global investment banks, as a Regulatory Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team and to progress your career!

 

Job description: 

​

This role is in the Regulatory Stress Testing Team which is a specialized team within Reg controllers. The team are responsible for the ICAAP documents for the Bank’s UK entities, producing the PRA’s Solvent Wind Down exercise for the UK entities, calculating the capital projections for the bank’s Resolution Plan, producing the Recovery plans for both the Group and UK entities, the Pillar 3 disclosures for the UK entities, managing regulatory examinations and enquiries and keeping up to date with regulatory developments.

 

Given the nature of this team does, the role is very high profile with access to very senior stakeholders. Consequently, the team interacts with the PRA daily as the first point of contact for any regulatory queries. The team then works on coordinating with the necessary internal teams to revert back to the PRA in a timely manner.

 

The role requires a dynamic and ambitious candidate who will joint he team and take full responsibility for the Pillar 3 reporting. The responsibilities will include:

 

  • Preparation of the quarterly, semi-annual and annual Pillar 3 disclosures for the Bank’s UK regulated subsidiaries, including management of the data collection process, document production and coordinating the review, governance and attestation processes.

  • Working closely with various teams across the Bank including Risk, Treasury and Technology to streamline the process for strategically sourcing the necessary data in an efficient and controlled manner.

  • Embedding the process around the production, review and governance of the disclosures into the firm’s strategic reporting architecture.

  • Competitor analysis.

  • Staying up to date with relevant regulatory guidance including participation in industry forums.

 

Whilst Pillar 3 will be the primary responsibility of the holder of this role, there will also be an opportunity to get involved in the other areas that the team is engaged in.

 

Experience:

​

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA or another relevant qualification e.g. CFA is preferred, but not essential.

  • Knowledge of EBA’s Pillar 3 Guidelines is an added plus but not essential!
