Genesis Pharma are currently looking for a Data Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in Sweden. Full time position with fantastic benefits available to all employees from day 1 and high competitive salaries.

The client is expanding their portfolio in distributing advanced medicines to patients globally and would like to hire Data Scientists to collaborate in this mission.

​

As a Data Scientist, you will participate across the whole medicines development business with clinicians, operations experts, translational scientists, or safety scientists.  You will deal with a flexible and varied portfolio of challenges that could include – but are not limited to:

​

• Working with drug project teams to find the right sites in which to run a clinical trial,

• Developing and applying sophisticated machine learning methods to understand data from wearable devices,

• Researching and developing forecasting and optimization methods to guide decision-making about and resourcing of our drug projects,

• Understanding the patient journey in real world data to optimize patient treatment pathways.

• Working with architects and engineers to influence the design of our data science infrastructure.

 

Minimum Qualifications

​

• MS degree in a rigorous quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, operations research, bioinformatics, economics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, industrial engineering).

• 1 year of relevant work experience in data analysis or related field. (e.g., as a statistician / data scientist / computational biologist / bioinformatician).

• Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Julia, MATLAB, pandas) and database languages (e.g., SQL).

• Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to learn and apply new techniques

• Demonstrated experience articulating business questions and using mathematical techniques to arrive at an answer using available data.

 

Preferred Qualifications

​

• PhD degree in a rigorous quantitative discipline (as above)

• Applied experience using advanced machine learning techniques such as CNN, Gaussian processes, or gradient boosting in practical problems

• Demonstrated experience working with business customers to help formulate business problems as a rigorous quantitative question, and translating analysis results to business recommendations.
