Genesis Global Group is currently looking for a 2nd Line support Engineer for a fantastic Cloud/Telephony Solution provider based in Reading. Full time position with a very good benefits package available.
The ideal candidates will have experience as a Support Engineer and looking to increase their exposure to the following:

Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation. You may be required to install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and application problems, either over the phone or in person.

Provide desktop/server support, systems administration, troubleshooting, incident resolution, systems installations, documentation of support and system activities, as well as emergency out-of-hours support as and when required.

Expected to visit customer sites to check the network status, physical equipment etc, which is then presented in a document and sent to the customer.

Proven record working within an IT environment providing 1st/ 2nd line support within a hands-on Service/Helpdesk environment.
Essential Requirements include:

Client / Server: Windows Win7/8 / Windows 2003/2008

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Track record supporting hardware e.g. Printers, PCs, Laptops, Servers

A valid UK driving licence and
-
Strong and confident telephone manner

Experience of working on a helpdesk (at least 2 years)
